Tummy Time

Posted by Shelly Cassiday-Riesenmy on

Tummy time is an important part of your baby's early development, as it helps them to build strength and coordination. It is recommended that babies spend several minutes each day, at least 3 times a week, doing tummy time. Here are some tips for making tummy time fun and successful for your little one:

  1. Start with just a few minutes at a time. It may be hard for your baby to stay on their tummy for long periods, so start small and gradually increase the time.
  2. Place a favorite toy or book near your baby to help keep their attention and provide comfort.
  3. Talk or sing to your baby while they are on their tummy.
  4. Play with your baby on their tummy, making it interactive and fun.
  5. Provide plenty of cushioning for your baby, and make sure the surface is flat and free of any objects that might be a choking hazard.
  6. Take breaks if needed, and always keep an eye on your baby to make sure they are safe and secure.

Have fun and enjoy this special time with your little one!
